Seven Hills Home Day & More

Summer is in full swing and outdoor activities are ramping up throughout Seven Hills. One sign of summer is baseball. The Guardians are battling for first place in their division and all 5 City of Seven Hills ball fields are in daily use. We have witnessed such a resurgence of youth in our city that we changed our master plan and intend to bring back a 6th ball field for next season. Our parks and recreation team are doing a great job getting these fields ready for use.  This same team recently assisted in the planting of 61 native trees at The Beverly Nature Preserve at North Park. This planting included 11 different types of trees. The preserve will officially open and be named during a July 8th ceremony at the site.

Perhaps the biggest sign of summer in Seven Hills is our home days festival. All are welcome to join us for the 48th Annual Seven Hills Home Days. I am sure your family and friends will enjoy this time-honored tradition as much as I do! What is not to like about summer weather, good music, delicious food and getting together with great friends? This year’s festivities are being celebrated over three days beginning Friday July 22nd – Sunday July 24th. Friday and Saturday will BOTH conclude with a fabulous fireworks display. Our Home Days Committee has worked hard this past year to grow and make this year’s Home Days even better! We have secured some of Cleveland’s finest local bands, exciting rides, along with a wide range of food selections, and community programs ensuring that it is once again a joyful celebration. Sunday is truly a special day, our “Community Day.” I look forward to watching so many talented individuals that call Seven Hills home perform on this day. I want to thank you our great sponsors, volunteers, employees, and residents who without their help this event couldn’t be possible.

I am looking forward to seeing each of you. Please make sure to stop by the City’s booth and say hi. I look forward to seeing many friends as well as making new ones.

Tony Biasiotta

Mayor, City of Seven Hills. Ohio
