DC: Changing Of The Guard And Those With Their Guard Up

Dearest Americans,

There is a rising sun in all that has transpired post election
A change in all of us

Progressives rested after first making history
Then subsequently bickered themselves into splinters
The Far Right mobilized and seized upon this into Presidency
And seized a healthy share of twenty-six statehouses 
Thereby ensuring redistricting in their favor well into the future

Yet never before 
Have all sides been this galvanized in The Information Age
With so many still resting

Paradigm Shift

What's been in the far recesses of most minds
That thing beyond the looking glass
Grinning through the mirrors and smoke
Is now finally once again on the table
Has hit the proverbial fan once more
Blowing gale winds of change we all knew were still alive

Response

People are uniting 
Reuniting
Discovering 
What is no longer dormant

Purpose

The times
Seemingly salted barren no man's land conditions
Are equally fertile 
In passion evermore to this time follow through 
To take root
To ground
For their rest is over

Eyes open

In you resides spirit awakening 
Recognizing the ancestor within
A state of being
In devoted communion to protecting those to come

May we always help reveal 
Awakening light in others
Band in engaged community
Strive to connect in the tailors of critical thinking
And recognize the sacred overarching mortality of us all
