Holiday Lights Contest Returns to Parma

Are you your neighborhood Christmas lights master? Do you begin building blueprints in July — wearing a Santa hat and guzzling those bottles of Great Lakes Christmas Ale you stashed under the stairs from the year before? Do you sign up for new social media accounts just to have more places to post pictures and tout your self-granted bragging rights? If so, this contest is for you!

The City of Parma, in conjunction with The Young Professionals of Parma, is bringing back its Holiday Lights contest in an effort to honor the city’s Christmas lights champions. The City will provide gift cards to the three winners. The first place will receive a $100 gift card to Fast Eddie’s, the second a $75 gift card Antonio’s, and the third a $50 gift card to Little Birdie Wine Nest.

It’s easy to enter! Just send a photo(s) or a video of your display with your name and address to HolidayLights@ParmaYPs.com by Wednesday, December 21. Entries will be evaluated on coverage, showmanship, and originality. A panel of judges from the Young Professionals of Parma will review the entries and designate 10 finalists, which it will then evaluate in person before honoring three winners.

As entries are submitted, they will be featured on ParmaYPs.com. The Young Professionals of Parma is a newly founded organization that is working to strengthen the community of Parma through networking, advocacy, and local pride. Visit ParmaYPs.com to learn more and see upcoming events.
