I Believe

A feeble compromise between Godly and worldly will satisfy neither.

A sinning person will stop praying; a praying person will stop sinning.

All motives become known and weighed by God.

All service ranks the same with God.

Confession is what believers do when they sin.

Each person should use whatever gift he or she has received to serve others.

Flattery usually has strings attached.

God answers to knee mail.

God can turn any difficulty into an opportunity.

God gives each his or her due at the time allotted.

I would rather one walk with me than merely tell the way.

In heaven, there are no tears.

Love of people leads to love of God and the opposite is even truer.

No Jesus, no peace; know Jesus, know peace.

People never violate God’s laws without suffering the consequences sooner or later.

People should use their blessings to bless others so all can benefit.

Pour not water on a drowning mouse.

Pride builds walls between people; humility builds bridges.

The only people without problems are those in cemeteries.

The wise see danger ahead and avoid it, but fools keep going and get in trouble.

There is no delight in owning anything unshared.

Think how happy we would be if we lost everything we have right now—and then got it back again.

Those who are discontented in one place will seldom be content in another.

Too much of anything has negative consequences.

We are born with tendencies toward both good and evil.

We are very smart if we are a little kinder and wiser than yesterday.

We need to see the glass as half full and not half empty.

We pardon to the degree that we love.

When we are self-centered, we cannot be God-centered, and the opposite is just as true.

When you are not sure which course of action to take regarding others, put yourself in their place.

You cannot unscramble eggs.

Self-reflection is always a good exercise. What I believe is a work in progress, not limited to these statements and subject to change. What do YOU believe?
