Maggie's Place Tour And Treat Open House Oct. 30

Bring your ghosts and goblins to Maggie's Place!

Maggie’s Place Ohio will offer a Halloween-themed Open House to the community on Saturday, October 30 from 6:30-9 PM at The Zechariah House located in Parma. The Open House will feature a potluck supper, house tours, fall crafts, candy treats, and weather permitting, an outdoor bonfire. Adults and children are welcome to attend in (not too scary) costumes!  A main dish will be provided; guests are welcome to bring side dishes, non-alcoholic beverages or deserts to share.

The Zechariah House provides safe housing, nourishing food, clothing, counseling, employment preparation and educational opportunities for pregnant women who may be alone, on the streets or facing other difficult life circumstances. Women must be at least 18 years of age, non-drug using and pregnant to be admitted, and may stay up to 15 months while they work on their personal goals.

Each mother in residence at Maggie’s Place has the opportunity to complete weekly counseling and life skills sessions such as budgeting, parenting, and job searching. Mothers can also increase their educational level while living at The Zechariah House, by completing their GED, job training or attending college classes, some with Maggie’s Place scholarships. At a time when Cleveland’s poverty rate stands at 18%, Maggie’s Place is playing an important role in helping vulnerable new mothers grow in self-sufficiency.

To attend the Halloween-themed Open House, contact Maggie’s Place Ohio at 440.886.2620 or email: cleveland@maggiesplace.org. The Open House is free and open to the public. Eaxct address/directions given when you RSVP. For additional information on Maggie’s Place Ohio, please visit www.maggiesplace.org or Follow us on Facebook/Twitter: @maggiesplaceOH
