Are You Ready For ReadyNotify?

Cuyahoga County’s new mass notification system, ReadyNotify, is launching in Parma. County and City officials encourage you to sign up to receive notifications and emergency alerts via text message, email or phone message.

“We want our residents to be well-informed and prepared in the case of an emergency,” Mayor Tim DeGeeter said. “The ReadyNotify system enables us to alert residents quickly with important information about any situation that might occur in their neighborhood or in our community at large.”

This is an important time to sign up for ReadyNotify so you can be ready for messages about snow parking bans in winter weather. Other messages that the service provides immediate information about are emergency events, building closures, water boil alerts and other safety messages. This service is free to the public and open for sign-ups using this link: http://www.readynotify.cuyahogacounty.us.

All that is required to sign up is a valid e-mail address. Other options for receiving messages are cell phone or home phone and text message. When you have submitted your sign-up information, you will begin to receive messages via the modality you specified, such as text message or email.
