Wednesday Waste Collection

Republic Waste will begin one-day waste collection in the entire city beginning on Wednesday, October 16th, 2013, eliminating the previous Tuesday-through-Friday segmented collection schedule. This will streamline the entire process.

“All trash, recycling, yard waste, and bulk items will be collected on Wednesday. Bulk items will be collected on Wednesday of the 3rd full week of every month,” explains Building, Housing & Recycling Coordinator Michelle Teresi.

The holidays observed by Republic Waste that fall on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday will delay the city-wide collection to Thursday. “Columbus Day and Veterans Day are not observed by Republic and collection will not be delayed,” said Teresi.

Republic Waste will be mailing an informational card to all Parma Heights customers informing them of the schedule change. Homeowners should receive the card by Saturday, October 5th or early the following week. The Mayor’s Office will also include the information on the City website and Facebook page.

Residents with questions are asked to call Republic Waste directly at 1-800-433-1309, or contact the Service Department at 440 884-9607, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
