Normandy High School Fun-Raiser To Raise $8000.00 In One Day Of Fun

Ok, so when is a Fundraiser a Fun-Raiser? It's when it doesn't cost the participants any money to raise funds for the good cause!  In this case, the good cause is Normandy High School. They are attempting to raise $8000.00 in one day of FUN.  It doesn't cost anyone anything!!!!!  So how does this work? The Event is called Drive One for Your School.

Ford Motor Company is sponsoring this event by paying to the school $20.00 for a household member to take a 5 minute test drive at Normandy High School and then fill out a 1 minute evaluation of the car driven. In addition they will pay an additional $10.00 for a second test drive by the same driver in a new Ford Focus. The benefit to them is the exposure of the new Ford products to many in the community not familiar with their products.

The participants get to drive the vehicle of their choice on a short route in a relaxed atmosphere, while at the same time raising money for the school. And it doesn't cost them anything but a small amount of their time.

This event will be held at Normandy High School on Pleasant Valley Rd. in Parma on Saturday November 12th from 8:30 A.M to 5 P.M and will feature the new Focus, Fusion, Taurus, Escape, Mustang, Explorer, Edge, Fiesta, F150, and possibly the Flex and Transit Connect. Several of the high school sports teams will be having exhibition games and several prominent Cleveland sports personalities will be on hand for autographs and questions. Light refreshments will be served to participants. Gift bags will be presented to all participants.

Gillingham Ford, a member of the Parma CBS (Community, Business, School) collaborative, will be providing the vehicles and Don Sparks, athletic director for Normandy High School, will be coordinating the festivities.

Individuals interested in participating should contact the athletic office at 440-885-2404 for details and to sign up.  Eight thousand dollars, one day, no cost to participate!  A true Fun-Raiser!!!!!
