Chamber President Chosen To Lead Parma Hospital Board


David Nedrich was recently elected chairman of Parma Hospital's Board of Directors.


The President & CEO of the Parma Area Chamber of Commerce, who spent 17 years as both a member and later chairman of the Parma Hospital Health Care Foundation, has been elected to serve as chairman of the Parma Hospital Board of Directors.

David Nedrich has represented North Royalton on the Board of Directors for the past four years and spent the last three years as vice chairman. A former communications manager for General Motors Corporate Communications who retired after 35 years, he has been involved in numerous community organizations, from the North Royalton Master Plan Steering Committee to the Economic Development Committee for Parma Mayor Dean DePiero. In managing the day-to-day operations of the Chamber, his focus is on supporting area businesses and enhancing the Chamber’s effectiveness.

Nedrich replaces Kent A. Geist, who remains a Board member representing Parma Heights.

Others officers elected are:

  • First Vice Chairman – Thomas P. O’Donnell (North Royalton)
  • Second Vice Chairman – Joseph Tal (Parma Heights)
  • Treasurer – Jack C. Krise Jr. (Parma)
  • First Assistant Treasurer – Alex I. Koler (Parma)
  • Second Assistant Treasurer – Nancy E. Hatgas (Brooklyn Heights)
  • Secretary – JoAnn Mason (Parma)
  • Assistant Secretary – Sharon M. Martin (Parma)

The Board of Directors consists of 18 members. Sixteen of these represent Parma Hospital’s founding communities: Parma, Parma Heights, Seven Hills, North Royalton, Brooklyn and Brooklyn Heights. Two physicians also are selected from the Medical Staff to serve on the Board.

Other members on the Board are: John H. Bundy (Brooklyn); Matthew Frantz, DO (Physician Director); Jennifer L. Lasky (Brooklyn Heights); Samuel W. Pagano, MD (Physician Director); Jacqueline M. Patton (Brooklyn) and Louis D. Ripepi Jr. (Parma). Members at Large will be appointed in the near future.
