Parma Area Chamber of Commerce New Teachers' Breakfast
7:30 AM - 9:30 AM
On Tuesday, Aug. 16, the Parma Area Chamber of Commerce (PACC) and local civic leaders will formally welcome new educators to the Parma community at the annual New Teachers’ Breakfast at Cuyahoga Community College.

This is the 27th year PACC has hosted the event, which invites new teachers, administrators, government officials, business leaders, and residents to come together to celebrate the start of the new academic year and shine a spotlight on those who will play such a critical role in shaping the local leaders of tomorrow.

“Nothing is more important to a community than its schools,” said Robert Brill, Market Vice President, Cox Communications, and Chairman of the PACC Board of Directors. “A strong school system is vital to attract new residents and businesses, and to retain young professionals when their academic years come to an end. Those things can only happen when we have a dedicated – and appreciated – team of educators across the district.”

In addition to food, fraternity and goodie bags, the mayors of the district’s three cities (Parma, Parma Heights, and Seven Hills) will help welcome the new teachers, as will area business leaders and Parma City Schools Superintendent, Dr. Charles Smialek.

“We are fortunate to have such a strong social fabric that bonds our communities and provides us support throughout the school year,” Dr. Smialek said. “We always look forward to celebrating the beginning of the year with the Chamber and kicking off our new teachers' careers with the Parma schools.”

Community members interested in attending can register now through Thursday, Aug. 11.
