Hospice of the Western Reserve Volunteer Series

Are you looking for a way to help individuals in your community? Are you willing to engage with homebound patients and families by phone or by mail? Consider becoming a Hospice of the Western Reserve Volunteer. We also need volunteers to serve as receptionists at Ames House and David Simpson Hospice House and our Headquarters office on St. Clair Ave, Cleveland. Other opportunities include: Veterans Serving Veterans, Attorney, and Notary Volunteers. Two virtual training series are held every month for new volunteers. The next virtual volunteer training series will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, April 6, 8, 23, and 25 from 1:00 - 4:00 PM or Mondays and Wednesdays April 19, 21, 26, and 28 from 5:30 - 8:30 PM. Volunteers who complete virtual training will be able to provide in-person visits when it is deemed safe.

Fresh fruits and vegetables for households with limited income. Do not arrive before 3:30. Remain in your vehicle. Social distancing and mask use is required.
Household eligibility monthly income guidelines: Household size of 1 - $2,081, add $737 per household member.
