Educational Redlining: Affecting Our Communities

Join HCC and the South Euclid Lyndhurst Experience Project
in a presentation and solutions-oriented discussion of educational redlining. Home sales websites use this technique to steer homebuyers away from moderate-income communities by rating their school districts poorly, based on faulty metrics.

The evening begins with remarks from CH-UH Superintendent Talisa Dixon, South Euclid Housing Manager Sally Martin, and HCC Fair Housing Director Ruby Appling.

Small group discussions will follow, exploring ways to combat the ratings and shining a light on the assets of these communities. Talk-Back discussion will be facilitated by Dr. Tameka Taylor of Compass Consulting Services.

This event is FREE and open to the public.
